2. Learn how to login to our LMS -- Canvas
3. Log into our digital textbook and clean up dashboard (check complete for each assignment you have finished--either in textbook account or on paper/pencil)
4. Finish reading "The Trouble with Poetry" in Close Reader workbook (pages 57-62)
5. HW:  Log into Canvas and do today's activities; Close Reader assignment 3/14; College Fair 4th and 5th periods 3/14

Today in class, we will:

1. Take the quiz on the two Dickinson poems
2. Review digital accounts....make sure to complete assignments 1-8 by Monday
3. Continue with Assignment 8 or work time with partner on Close Reader Assignment (#9 and #10)
4. Assignments 9 and 10:  Close Reader selection: "The Trouble with Poetry" pages 57-62, answer questions and follow all directions
4. Plans for next week:

• 3/13 Early Out, Introduction to our LMS!! Canvas
• 3/14 Review Close Reader selection and discuss//College Fair??
• 3/15-3/17--Ms. Petty at a work conference. You will need device and/or hardback book

2. Assignment 7 on digital textbook dashboard
3. Start Assignment 8 Interactive Notebook activity on figurative language
4. HW: Bring soft cover book tomorrow; quiz on two poems 3/10; Assignment 7 and 8 due 3/13

Today in class, we are:

1 .Going to pause so everyone can get caught up with their digital textbooks--I need everyone to login and at least complete the current assignments on the dashboard
**If you did it on paper, you don't need to redo---just log in and "complete" the assignments
2. NO LOANER TABLETS TODAY....if students don't follow the rules, the tablets will remain locked up
3. Plot Chart on short story dealing with "sight"
4. On back of plot chart, answer this question:
Why does the main character have such a problem with the fact that he needs glasses and that his sight is changing?
5. HW: Be ready to discuss Dickinson's two poems and this question tomorrow 2/9; Plot Chart due 3/9 at beginning of class

2. Get login information for new textbook called California Collections
3. Possibly log into new LMS..Canvas
4. Complete the first assignments with Collections (Assignments 1-3)
5. HW:  Complete the first assignments 3/7; Bring textbook/workbook everyday
